The reasons for approval included “Even though the proposed extension though large and prominent is considered interesting in appearance.”
It went on to state; “It will appear as an ancillary extension to the Old School Houses and from various views there will be a degree of visual separation between the pitch of the extension and the rear wall of the main house. The proposal will provide a valuable rural community facility.”
Concluding with “The development is in accordance with saved policies ENV1, ENV2 and T2 of the Saved Craven District Council (Outside the Yorkshire Dales National Park) Local Plan together with national guidance on developments in rural areas included in PPS7.”
