Semi – Raise the Roof PD after rear & side extensions – not a Conservation Area (2027)

After obtaining approval for

• a side extension
• a rear extension
• a garden building
• a reworking of the boundary wall providing a new plot entrance and private gardens

we were using the new 2020 Permitted Development to raise the roof by just 1m. This would relieve the tight headroom for the attic rooms of this very tall house.

Despite the rear dormers being permitted development, the planners would not approve the combination with new-to-side dormers as approved in a Conservation Area.
