Developers do not have permitted development rights on dwellings that are under construction.
The PD right is reserved for the Homeowner when the property has come into in occupation.
Boundary Walls are generally limited to 1m in height and other walls, more than 2m from the front boundary, are also limited to 2m in height. 1m high boundary walls surmounted by railings and or piers is common. 2m high walls set back from the boundary are less common.
Here we looked to push the boundaries in height terms with the addition of lion extrusions on top of gate piers. – Anything over 2m height would need planning permission…
